Long Time...No Update

Apologies to all our loyal followers--Lukey the Du ate Mikaela's power supply, and hence, there have been no updates in months. A new power supply is on its way...Lukey promises not to eat this one, and we promise to regularly update our fabulous website.

Here are a few pics to catch you up on what you've missed:

In December, we took a trip to New York to see Mary Poppins on Broadway. The show was FABULOUS, the tour company fed us nonstop, and we even had time to see the Lego display at FAO Schwarz and the beautiful tree at Rockefeller Center!

After a fabulous jaunt, we returned home, where Mikaela FINALLY, OFFICIALLY, became a lawyer! She took the oath, signed autographs, and posed for pictures with her happy (relieved) fans.

As Calvert County's newest attorney, Mikaela's first task was to cater her law firm's holiday party--with a guest list of 5,000. Here are a few pictures of the fabulous 'torts and tarts'

With that celebration behind us, we began a season of magical holiday celebrations. This year was particularly special because we added 3 babies (Noa, Sierra, and Dani) to our family in 2006--and we all felt so blessed to see them (and their big cousin Sydney!) experience their firsts!!

First up--Hanukkah. We got to celebrate the very first night of Hanukkah in our home, with Mikaela's parents here to carry on the Rossman family tradition of adding one new menorah each year.

On the last night of Hanukkah, the Rossman/Clark/Tyo families headed over to Mikaela's parent's house to light ALL of the menorahs. Sierra could hardly keep her eyes open, it was so exciting...while Noa pondered, for the first time, how one might go about disguising a diamond tennis bracelet with fancy wrapping paper.

AND, funny men wore funny hats...

After Hanukkah, we headed up to Philly to celebrate Christmas with the Clarks and Potoczeks. If you haven't heard us rave about Christmas Eve dinner at Rob and Maggie's--you are really missing out (even hearing about it is a treat!). Maggie and her mom make Polish delicacies that we wait all year to indulge in!!

Mikaela was a good girl...

And Sydney was a Rockstar!!

You would think, after all these celebrations, that we might be tuckered out--but NO!! We came out in force on January 13 to celebrate Noa's FIRST BIRTHDAY!!! T and Wally cooked a fabulous meal, there were cupcakes, party hats, and presents galore!!

Dani wasn't napping when the camera was out!

And Sierra ate ribbons!

Clearly, a great time was had by all! Noa thinks she is going to do this Birthday thing once a year--its so much fun!

After all the celebrations were over, we FINALLY got some time to work on our house. We painted the dining room and the family room!

And we built ourselves a little home gym, to help take care of the 'Newlywed 15'.

Mikaela's new full size and wonderful freezer also arrived

Just in time for our SECOND FLOOD!! (No, we aren't kidding...we really, really wish we were!)

Homeownership is grand. *Sigh*

Luckily, everything was back to normal (and an appointment was scheduled with the county inspector) by the time Sierra came for a visit!

Sierra and Lukey chilled put on a show

And we capped off the visit with a bubble bath!

So, there you have it folks! Our year (thus far) in review. We hope you've enjoyed catching up with the Clarks...and we promise not to ever make an entry this long again!!
